Larkin’s Restaurant Commercials

How we put a new spin on an old classic.

The Project

Larkin’s Restaurant is a Greenville staple, and many locals knew it for its charming setting in a historic building next to the Reedy River. But once they relocated to a new spot in the Camperdown development, they wanted to get the word out about their modern digs.

The Challenge

Over the years, Larkin’s earned a following of dedicated locals who loved the restaurant for those big, special occasions. But their new space–with its open-air bar, walkability to trendy hotels, and discreet location in a high-traffic plaza–begged for those casual, everyday moments, too.

The Insight

How could we message that guests could still find the Larkin’s they knew and loved…but start imagining the new possibilities, too? Larkin’s was familiar, but it was taking a new turn into something delightful.

The Outcome

Our concept was simple: a one-shot take showing a slice of life of the things that make the new Larkin’s special. The audio was kept simple and ambient, but each script had an intentional voiceover. The lines chosen took the same path that the Larkin’s itself was taking: each line starts familiar, but turns into a surprise. To see what we mean, check out the finished spots below.
